Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist the Development and Foundation Office in promoting and expanding the involvement of the community in Del Mar College through Special Events, Fundraisers and Alumni engagement. Areas of primary responsibility will include: management of special events and fundraisers, event marketing and communication, management of the alumni programming and communication initiatives; and primary liaison with the Alumni volunteers and the campus community to develop and implement alumni programs. Secondary responsibilities include gift portfolio management, help market and implement annual donor campaigns and donor stewardship activities in support of the Office of Development, Alumni and Foundation Services.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Knowledge is acquired through the attainment of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Non-Profit Management or related field.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing , Non-Profit Management or related field.

Three years experience required in membership management, volunteer management, special event management, non-profit management, fundraising or related field.

Develop and manage special events and fundraisers to support the mission of the College and DMCF Foundation. Develop and manage budgets, timelines, sponsorship programs, marketing and solicitation materials. Solicit sponsorship, table and ticket sales for events.
