Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

Mentors provide students with access to information about higher education, while also reaching out to those who may not have previously considered continuing their education beyond high school.

Mentors are assigned to local high schools throughout the Corpus Christi area and, on occasion, at the Del Mar College East and West Campuses.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 3.0 or higher

Continuously enrolled as a full-time Del Mar College student

Completed 2017-2018 FAFSA and work-study eligible

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Experience with Microsoft platform (Excel, Power Point)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the Apply Texas, FAFSA, and scholarship applications.

Presentation skills.
