Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to train students to have the knowledge to pass the commercial vehicle and driving exams to obtain a career in the transportation industry.

Minimum Qualifications

No more than three (3) moving violations on driving record in the past three (3) years.

Five (5) years Truck Driver experience utilizing a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Valid Texas Class A or B CDL with ability to be insurable by Del Mar College.

Current Department of Transportation (DOT) physical as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Knowledge of the Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining to commercial drivers.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Driver Trainer.

Passenger/School Bus Endorsements.

• Vehicle maintenance
