Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide support services for the Hospitality Program in the culinary laboratory setting including purchasing / storing product, maintaining food / equipment inventory, operating a Point of Sale (POS) system, and record keeping.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of at least twenty-four (24) college credit hours.

Three (3) years of successful, verifiable industry-related work experience in the restaurant or hotel industry.

Current Food Manager’s Permit or equivalent.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate courteously and effectively with students, faculty, staff and public.
Strong verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision to handle multiple tasks, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to navigate Vendor Ordering platform and POS system (Aloha).
Ability to work in a flexible, hands-on work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts, Baking/Pastry, or Hospitality Management.
